Widely acknowledged as the top Korean actor of his generation, Song Kang-ho marks his fourth collaboration with director Park Chan-wook on Thirst, following JOINT SECURITY AREA, SYMPATHY FOR MR. VENGEANCE, and SYMPATHY FOR LADY VENGEANCE.
He has also notably teamed with Bong Joon-ho, starring in the director's MEMORIES OF MURDER and the blockbuster horror hit THE HOST (for which Song was named Best Actor at the Asian Film Awards); and with director Kim Ji-woon on THE QUIET FAMILY, THE FOUL KING, and THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE WEIRD.
Among Song's other films are Song Neung-han's NO. 3, which was his breakout role; Kang Je-gyu's SHIRI; Lim Chan-sang's THE PRESIDENT'S BARBER; Han Jae-rim's THE SHOW MUST GO ON; Yim Pil-Sung's ANTARCTIC JOURNAL; and Lee Chang-dong's SECRET SUNSHINE.
