Kevin J. O'Connor is an American actor best known for playing character roles in major studio movies such as The Mummy, Clive Barker's Lord of Illusions, F/X 2 and as Igor in the 2004 movie Van Helsing. He is a favorite of writer/director Stephen Sommers, who always casts him in his films.

He was born on November 15, 1963 in Chicago, Illinois, where he trained as an actor at the DePaul/Goodman School of Drama.

In Chicago, he appeared in the stage production El Salvador by Raphael Lima (1989) at the Steppenwolf Theatre. He made his New York, off-Broadway debut in The Colorado Catechism by Vincent J. Cardinal (1990) at the Circle Repertory Company.

He made his big-screen debut as the high school rebel, Michael Fitzsimmons, in Francis Ford Coppola's Peggy Sue Got Married (1989). The movie, starring Kathleen Turner, proved to be a hothouse of incipient stars. The film features the likes of Jim Carrey, Helen Hunt and Joan Allen in small roles.

Following Peggy Sue Got Married, O'Connor has worked continuously on other films.
