Kitty Aldridge (born Bahrain in 1962) is a British actress and writer
After training as an actress in London, she worked since in film, theatre and television as an actress.
At the height of her fame, she began an affair with Mark Knopfler. She married Knopfler and on becoming pregnant with her first child, she retired as an actress in 1998 to become a full time mother.
Aldridge released her first novel "Pop" in 2001http://www.gillonaitkenassociates.co.uk/author.php?recordID=250, and her second "Cryers Hill" is due for release on 1 March, 2007
Originally married to actor/director Neal Sundstrum, she divorced him and became the third wife of Dire Straits guitarist Mark Knopfler on 14 February, 1997.
