Lamberto Bava (Born April 3 1944) is an Italian film director, specializing in horror films. He is the son of cinematographer / director Mario Bava, and grandson of cameraman Eugenio Bava. He is also a protege of director Dario Argento.

Lamberto Bava was born in Rome.

After working as a personal assistant, assistant director and screenwriter with his father, Bava began working with Dario Argento, assisting on the films Tenebre and Inferno. During this time he also served as assistant director on the notorious film Cannibal Holocaust.

After directing several films, Bava re-teamed with Argento. This time Bava directed and wrote, with Dario who produced. The collaboration created Bava's most memorable films, Demoni and Demoni 2, as well as several episodes of the TV Seres Door Into Darkness.

In 2006, after years of directing film for television it was announced that Bava would be one of the four directors behind the Masters of Italian Horror series.
