Lani Tupu helped found an Australian Theatre group called "The Walkers and Talkers" (no longer running). Active in stage production as a director and an actor. Active in Television and Film. Best known to us as the actor who gave life to Captain Bialar Crais and as the voice of Pilot.
He continues to coach and offers screen acting workshops, through his company, The Screen Actors Studio, in Sydney. His awards include: Best New Talent at the 1984 Feltex Telivision Awards and Best Actor in 1985 Finalist for The Male Supporting Role at the 1986 Listener Film Television Award for his work in the film Send A Gorilla. From the New Zealand Film Television Awards 1993, Awards for Best Dramatic Performance and a Best Actor Award for Talk Of The Town, which he also directed, at the Dreammaker Festival in Ontario, Canada.
At present he is also working with his other talent: painting in oils.
