Laurence Rosenthal is a famous composer for theater, television, and films. He has won seven Emmy Awards for his work and has been nominated for twelve Emmy Awards, two Oscars, and two Golden Globe awards. Among his best-known film scores are A Raisin in the Sun, The Miracle Worker, Becket, The Island of Dr. Moreau, The Return of a Man Called Horse, and Peter Brook's Meetings with Remarkable Men. Biography
Laurence Rosenthal was born on November 4, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan. He attended the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, where he studied piano and composition. He then studied in Paris with Nadia Boulanger.
