Lawrence Bayne is a Canadian actor, born November 11, 1960 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He has appeared in various movies and television series, both live action and animated.
Among his live action characters, he is perhaps best known as Victor Pearson, the apparently nefarious scientist-next-door in the NBC/Discovery Kids television series Strange Days at Blake Holsey High, also known as Black Hole High. Victor was the father of the Science Club's Vaughn Pearson, and generally functioned as the series' antagonist. Victor used a frictionless Chi ball he stole from the show's protagonist, Josie Trent, as a power source for his mysterious experiments at Pearadyne Labs.
Prior to his low-key, fairly realistic portrayal of Victor, Lawrence Bayne played Dr. Hypnoto, a broad, buffoonish villain on Silverstone, the show-within-a-show in the Disney Channel television series The Famous Jett Jackson.
Bayne also had a recurring role as an operative named Davenport in the third and fourth seasons of the La Femme Nikita television series.
Among his animation credits, Bayne provided the voice of Rock Zilla in Gene Simmons' animated television show My Dad the Rock Star, and the voice of Cable and other characters in the X-Men Animated Series.
Lawrence Bayne also sings with the band CONTROLFREAK.
