Loletta Lee (also known as Lee Lai Chun in Cantonese and Lee Li Zhen, in Mandarin) is a Hong Kong actress born on January 8, 1969 in Guangzhou. She later changed her name to Rachel Lee in 2000.
She started playing small roles in HK movies in the 90s. Her first role as main actress is in Devoted to You. She continued to play as young teenager in the 80s until 1990. She wanted to change her innocence image by playing more daring film such as Summer Lovers. In 1993 she made a daring decision by taking her clothes off and starred in HK Category III film Crazy Love. This film is about the adventure of Jane traveling around and come around different men. The story is borrowed from a 1976 German film : Griechische Feigen or The fruit is ripe. She continued to show her body in Spirit of Love, Girls Unbutton and Sex and Zen 2. She also released 2 nude photographic albums. Crazy Love, Girls Unbutton and Sex and Zen 2 become the best selling VCD and DVD until current. But this didn't help her career.
She left the movie industry after marriage (1996) and gave birth to a daughter (1997). But it did not last long, as she was divorced and back in the movie Ordinary Heroes, which earned her a Golden Horse Award in 1999 for Best Actress. She can be found today working in mainstream Hong Kong cinema.
