"Blue Lou" Marini is an American saxophone player.

Lou Marini (Jr.) graduated at a small school named Fairless High School which is in Navarre, Ohio. Lou's father was the head band director at Fairless and created the schools Alma Mater (Fairless High School still nominates a winner of the Lou Marini Award every year in honor of his fathers work.) Lou then attended North Texas State University where he graduated. He was a member of the Saturday Night Live house band from 1975 to 1983 and appeared in the movie The Blues Brothers. Before this he was a member of Blood, Sweat and Tears. He appeared on Frank Zappa's album Zappa in New York in 1977. He has worked with a diverse range of musicians, such as Dionne Warwick, Deodato, Steely Dan and Aerosmith.
