Mario López Biography

Mario López, Jr. is a Mexican American actor who has appeared on several television series, but is best known for the teenaged character he played on the show Saved by the Bell. His first role at the age of 11 was as the drummer and dancer on Kids Incorporated in 1984. Since his stint on Saved by the Bell and the show's spin-offs, Lopez has enjoyed a career as host of a variety of television contest shows as well as playing the role of Olympic gold medalist Greg Louganis in the made-for-television movie Breaking the Surface. He also apeared in the TV series Pacific Blue, The Bold and The Beautiful, Nip/Tuck, and Dancing with the Stars.
