Marshall Allman Biography

With his wavy, jet-black locks and photogenic, freckled countenance, American actor Marshall Allman suggested a cross between a young Patrick Duffy and a young Timothy Hutton. Like Duffy, Allman made his first significant mark on television. Early on, he landed a string of guest appearances on a host of series programs, including Without a Trace, Malcolm in the Middle, The Practice, and Boston Public. Allman segued into features at a low ebb, with a turn in the slasher picture Shallow Ground (2004), following that up with the slightly more noble and respected Bruce Willis actioner Hostage (2005). Allman then headlined the gentle coming-of-age comedy drama Dishdogz (2006), about the apprenticeship of a down-and-out skateboarder. The actor is most commonly recognized, however, for his portrayal of L.J. Burrows Jr., son of prison detainee Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell), on Fox's exciting serialized drama Prison Break (2005).Marshall Allman is of no immediate relation to rockers Gregg or Duane Allman. ~ Nathan Southern, Rovi
