Marty Ingels (born Martin Ingerman on March 9, 1936 in Brooklyn, New York) is best known as the voice of many cartoon characters with his scratchy, unique voice. His latest role was in Pac-Man (1982) as the title character himself. He has also acted in motion pictures and short-lived television series.
He has been married since 1977 to the actress and singer Shirley Jones.
In the animated series Freakazoid!, his works are apparently considered to be a means of torture.
Legal Trouble
In 2005, Ingels' lawsuit against radio personality Tom Leykis because of age discrimination was thrown out in a California court. He called under an assumed name, Paul Russo, and claimed that Leykis's actions violated California's Unruh Civil Right Act, which prohibits individious discrimination in business.
