Matthew Schulze (born July 3, 1972 in St. Louis, Missouri) is an American actor best known for playing Vince in The Fast and The Furious.
Background
Matt grew up in St. Louis and spent a good deal of time in the rough neighborhoods of East Saint Louis, Illinois. At age 16, he moved to Atlanta, where he studied guitar at the prestigious Atlanta Institute of Music. He moved to Los Angeles in 1992 to be a studio musician, but ended up doing both acting and modeling. He appeared in a Levi's commercial, after living in Europe for two years. He lost interest in modeling, and decided to focus his attention on acting and never looked back.
Acting career
Schulze made his big screen debut in 1998's action thriller Blade where he started opposite Wesley Snipes and legendary Kris Kristofferson as vampire Crease. 1999 saw Schulze get a leading role in Woody Keith's thriller Dementia where he plays nasty piece of work Sonny, and his next film was the teen comedy Boys and Girls where he had a small role as Paul. 2001 saw Schulze playing lead role as an assassin John Hunter who joins an underground organization called The Guild in order to get revenge on those who killed his parents in Downward Angel. The same year also saw him get noticed in the blockbuster The Fast and The Furious where he played hot headed Vince who knows Paul Walker's true colours from the start. Schulze then returned in Blade II playing another vampire Chupa, and in the same year Schulze was cast as another villain in The Transporter, playing local hoodlum Wall Street. Schulze gets to show of some of his fighting moves in this film and 1 good confrontation with Frank Martin Jason Statham) towards the end. It was a 2 year gap before we saw Schulze back again playing motorcycle man Henry in 2004's Torque.
Since then he has appeared in numerous films including The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things, Seven Mummies & Final Move. He has also appeared in an episode of CSI: Miami and Law & Order, he is scheduled to appear in 2 films in 2007, The Flock and Mr. Brooks.

- He was a Levi's model when he was about 21. He did numerous campaigns, and a runway show in Italy.
- He bulked up, grew a beard and dyed his hair a different color for the film The Fast and the Furious.
- Lost 40 some pounds in order to effectively play the character Wall Street in the movie The Transporter. He did so by fasting for 16 days.
