Max Thayer, (real name Michael Thayer) is an American movie actor. Born 18th June of 1946 in Detroit.

• Hot Ice - this was the last movie where Ed Wood appeared, directed by Steven Apostolof.

• Story of the Dolls, an erotic movie by Hubert Frank.
• Deadringer (1985), a Filipino action movie by Teddy Page where Thayer stars as a hunted man and his doppelgänger.
• No Retreat, No Surrender 2(1989) and

• The Man Who Wasn't There (2001) - appearance.
• C.E.O., a Chinese movie.

In 2004, Chinese TV employed him to star in the War of the Genes series, that shall be the first Chinese TV series to be shot outside China.
