Michael is a graduate of NYU (class of 1980) and Great Neck South High School (class of 1976). He grew up in New Hyde Park, NY (on Long Island) the middle child of Phyllis & Morris. He has an older brother, Elliot, a doctor & a younger sister, Julie Ann. His interest in theater & film making began at Theater South & after he saw the Stanley Kubrick's movie, "2001: A Space Odyssey."
