No sooner is one remake an opening weekend hit than Michael Bay and his Platinum Dunes partners are press-releasing a new production. Ever since Steven Spielberg climbed aboard as executive producer on the Paramount / DreamWorks project "The Transformers," fans have been wondering who the director will be. Buzz earlier this week stated that it was going to be a toss-up between Michael Bay ("Armageddon") and Roland Emmerich ("The Day After Tomorrow"), but Variety reports that the gig may be Bay's ... if he wants it. Paramount Believes in "Superstition" Opens in new window
Seems like screenwriter Neal Marshall Stevens ("13 Ghosts") impressed the Paramount folks with his "Superstition" screenplay. Described by Variety as the story of "a scientifically conducted seance that draws a deadly ghost who shifts reality to account for its existence," the project will go into production via Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes shingle.
