Five Favourite Films with Nick Love
Nick Love isn't known for heart. The film which earned him his "From the director of..." title card, The Football Factory, is nothing if not violent, loud and not particularly critically well-loved. His follow-up, The Business, recasts Danny Dyer and sets itself in the Costa Del Crime world of 80s Spain and had a similarly rocky reception with scribes. And yet he's one of Britain's better-known directors, suggesting he talks to an active audience of cinemagoers. With The Firm, Love revisits themes present in both films -- the 80s and football-fan violence -- but has more in common with his lesser-seen debut feature, coming-of-age comedy Goodbye Charlie Bright. Early notices have been warmer than Love tends to receive from critics, with Empire declaring the film, "intense, exciting and impressive." RT caught up with Love to rundown his favourite films and chat about the flick.

Box Office Guru Preview: Dinosaurs and Gangsters Spark Fireworks
Hollywood is hoping to score two $40M+ grossers over the Independence Day holiday frame for the first time ever. With Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen still raking in large numbers, two new releases opened on Wednesday to get a head start on the long weekend led by the animated sequel Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaur which will give the robots a challenge for the number one spot. Looking to debut firmly in the number three spot is the period gangster flick Public Enemies starring Johnny Depp and Christian Bale which will give mature adults something to rally behind.

Box Office Preview: Miami Vice Turns Up B.O. Heat
With cops, drug dealers, and lots of bullets flying, the action film Miami Vice hits theaters across North America this weekend with its aim squarely on the number one spot. Young kids, meanwhile, will be offered another animated film in the form of The Ant Bully while teens get a new high school comedy in John Tucker Must Die. The overall box office should continue to be much healthier than last year as the Jack Sparrow-dominated month of July comes to a close.

"Miami Vice" Pics
A Colin Farrell fan site has posted pics of Farrell in his "Miami Vice" attire, Comingsoon.net reports. The pic is the big screen adaptation of the TV show, which originally starred Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas as detectives in the vice squad. Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx will play those roles in the movie version.
