Michael Massee is an American actor from Kansas City, Missouri, USA. He provides the voice for the villain Spellbinder in The Batman animated series, as well as appearing on the television series 24 as the villain Ira Gaines - coincedentally both of which required him to provide the part of a charcter whose first name is Ira, Billings on Batman, Gaines on 24. He provided the voice of Bruce Banner for the Ultimate Avengers movie, as well as the sequel Ultimate Avengers 2. He appeared in the film Se7en alongside Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman.

Massee has the unfortunate distinction of firing the accidentally loaded gun which killed Brandon Lee during filming of The Crow. The shooting was ruled an accident, and although there are some fans that suspected foul play, there is usually no criticism of Massee as being behind the plot or having any knowledge of what was going on.
