Trivia
He also appeared briefly as himself in the Family Guy episode "Family Guy Viewer Mail #1". Winslow reprised his Police Academy character in a parody on the stop motion animation show Robot Chicken, when the cast of the Police Academy movies become the new X-Men after the original team dies in battle. Winslow's character makes squeaky wheel sound effects, leading Professor X to think his wheelchair is broken until he realizes where the sounds are coming from and telepatically erases Larvell Jones' mind. Unfortunately, it turns out the wheelchair actually was broken and Jones wasn't making the sounds effects after all.
Michael has a large cult following in Australia and once appeared in blue swimming trunks performing on his own ditties, "Mr Winslow". "Mr Winslow" is a tune based on Arrested Developments classic "Mr Wendel". It was penned by struggling Irish song writer, Richard Conville.
Ukrainian comedian Denys Volkov is also heavily influenced by Winslow's work and is said to have used him as a template in developing his comedy-opera "Soviet Factory #2."
He appears in the "Weird Al" Yankovic's song "Eat It", a parody of Michael Jackson's "Beat It", in which he crawls out of a manhole, and makes the sound of a manhole cover moving himself.
