Nigel Sinclair is a Scottish producer of Hollywood films.
He was born in Dumfries and graduated from the University of Cambridge in 1969. He practiced law until he moved to Los Angeles in 1980 and married Patricia Sinclair.
Nigel was involved in financing movies such as Green Card, Fearless, Hamlet (Mel Gibson version), Crocodile Dundee, Braveheart, and several others.
In 1996, Nigel was the founder of Intermedia Films along with fellow producer Guy East. Since then, he has produced a number of successful films, most notably Sliding Doors. Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, and The Wedding Planner.
In 2000 Nigel was awarded the position of Commander of the British Empire, for his services in the British film industry in the United States. In 2002 Nigel founded an independent distribution company, Spitfire Productions. Nigel has one son with his wife Patricia.
