In addition to a ton of low-budget, independent, documentary, and dramatic films, this year's South By Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival promises a rather flashy infusement of high-end studio fare, too! So while it's always important to shed some attention on the little guys (which we'll be doing soon enough), it's also fun to note that SXSW will be offering high-end "gimme" titles like "V for Vendetta," "The Notorious Bettie Page," "American Dreamz," and the geekily-anticipated "Slither."

From Paul Weitz, the director of "American Pie," "About a Boy," and "In Good Company," comes the slick-looking satire known as "American Dreamz," which seems to star Dennis Quaid as George Bush, Hugh Grant as Simon Cowell, and Mandy Moore as Kelly Clarkson. Topher Grace Joins the "Spider-Man 3" Cast

Topher Grace has joined the cast of "Spider-Man 3," it was announced by director Sam Raimi and producers Laura Ziskin and Marvel Studio's Avi Arad. Grace will join Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, James Franco, and Thomas Haden Church in the blockbuster franchise. "Spider-Man 3" is scheduled for release on May 4, 2007, and will reunite returning cast members with director Sam Raimi and producers Ziskin and Arad, the successful filmmaking team responsible for the first two films.
