Peter Hermann (born 15 August 1967 in Germany) is an American actor and writer.
A German native who moved to Greenwich, Connecticut at the age of 14, Hermann had a brief stint on the soap opera Guiding Light and the ABC Family show Beautiful People and has appeared in commercials (such as the anti-tobacco "Fair Enough" ads). He also appeared as Jeremy Glick, in the 2006 feature film United 93, whose subject was United Airlines flight 93, the only hijacked plane that didn't reach its target during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
From 2002 until 2006, Hermann played defense attorney Trevor Langan on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, where he met one the show's stars, Mariska Hargitay. The two were married on August 28, 2004, and their son, August Miklos Friedrich Hermann, was born on June 28, 2006.
Hermann is an alumnus of the two-year service organization Teach For America. He was a member of its inaugural teaching corps in 1990.
