Cleese Gets "Crood" for DreamWorks
Former Monty Python member and seriously funny fellow John Cleese will be writing the screenplay for DreamWorks' just-announced "Crood Awakening," which will be an animated comedy about cavemen. Aardman Entertainment ("Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit," "Chicken Run") will be partnering with DreamWorks ("Shrek"), and it was Aardman gurus Peter Lord and David Sproxton who came up with the original idea.
