Reginald Alan Hudlin (born December 15 1961) is an American writer and film director. He was born in Centreville, Illinois.
He has directed such films as House Party with the rap duo Kid 'n Play; Boomerang with Eddie Murphy and Halle Berry; The Great White Hype with Samuel L. Jackson, Peter Berg, and Jeff Goldblum. He is currently writing the Marvel Comics series Black Panther, although his work for Marvel has come under some heavy criticism. He was instrumental in the 2006 Marvel storyline "The Wedding of the Century". This saw the characters Storm and the Black Panther wed and was published in July 2006.
His older brother, Warrington Hudlin, is also a film director, as well as an actor and producer.
In July 2005, Hudlin was hired as President of Entertainment for BET.
