Roger Birnbaum Biography

Through much of the 1990s, producer and executive producer Roger Birnbaum headed the Disney-affiliated independent studio Caravan Pictures. As a producer, he and Caravan founder Joe Roth teamed up to back such films as Angels in the Outfield (1994) and While You Were Sleeping (1995). Projects done in conjunction with different producers include Powder (1995), First Kid (1996), and G.I. Jane (1997). Over his career, Birnbaum has been the president of the Guber/Peters Company, the president of worldwide production for United Artists, and the executive vice president of Twentieth Century Fox. ~ Sandra Brennan, Rovi
