Scott Abbott is the co-inventor of Trivial Pursuit along with Chris Haney who was a photo editor for the Montreal Gazette.
He is the current owner of the Brampton Battalion hockey team, of the Ontario Hockey League. For his work in building this hockey club, he was inducted into the Brampton Sports Hall of Fame in 2005.
Before he became wealthy through the invention of Trivial Pursuit, Scott Abbott was a sports journalist for Canadian Press.
