Scott Hicks (b. 4 March 1953 in Uganda) is an Academy Award nominated film director from South Australia.
Hicks graduated from Flinders University of South Australia (BA Honors) in 1975 and was awarded an honorary doctorate in 1997. Born and raised in East Africa, Scott lives with his wife, producer Kerry Heysen and their two sons, Scott and Jethro in Adelaide, South Australia.
