Trailer Bulletin: "The Hitcher"

Yeoh Joins "True North" and "Babylon A.D."
When we last saw Michelle Yeoh on the big screen, she was teaching Zhang Ziyi the finer points of how to stop a man in his tracks with a blink of the eyes in "Memoirs of a Geisha." According to Variety, Yeoh has signed on to appear in "True North" and "Babylon A.D."

Sean Bean to Become the New "Hitcher"
At first I was mostly skeptical regarding this remake of "The Hitcher" that's being set up at Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes outfit. But after reading a few interviews with the original screenwriter (Jake Wade Wall, not Eric Red) and seeing the early casting news, I'm beginning to hold out some hope here. Yes, that's right: Sean Bean will be stepping into the role made infamous by Sir Rutger Hauer.

"Silent Hill" Inspired by a (Real) Creepy Town?
IGN FilmForce continues to dole out some great pre-release coverage for Silent Hill, the based-on-a-video game horror flick from Christophe Gans (Brotherhood of the Wolf) and Roger Avary (The Rules of Attraction). Seems that the screenwriter used the actual town of Centralia, PA, as some sort of inspiration ... and it sounds like a pretty creepy place.

Trailer Bulletin: Silent Hill
From the director of "Brotherhood of the Wolf" and the writer of "The Rules of Attraction," (two criminally underrated flicks in my book) comes the horror game adaptation known as "Silent Hill." And I may be nuts, but based on this teaser trailer, I'm thinking this flick might just be the one to break that "video game movies invariably suck" theory that's been the bane of genre fans for quite a few years now.

TriStar Pictures today invited fans and amateur artists to design the official movie poster for the highly anticipated feature film "Silent Hill," set for release in theaters nationwide on April 21, 2006. Toronto Film Fest: ?Flightplan? with Jodie Foster and ?Shopgirl? with Steve Martin
Today, we cover two films at the Toronto International Film Festival in which the central characters are women. Jodie Foster follows her 2002 mother-daughter, claustrophobic thriller "Panic Room" with another -- "Flightplan." Steve Martin returns to independent filmmaking with "Shopgirl" co-starring Claire Danes and Jason Schwartzman.

IGN FilmForce has obtained a "Flightplan" exclusive -- a flash tour of the state-of-the-art E-474 aircraft featured in the movie. "Flightplan" stars Jodie Foster as Kyle Pratt, a recently widowed mother whose daughter vanishes during a trans-Atlantic flight.
