Christy Shae Marks (born June 1, 1972) is an American model and actress.
She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana where she spent most of childhood. According to her Playmate Profile, she was a tomboy growing up. Soon after her tenth birthday, Marks' family moved to a small town outside of Atlanta, Georgia. While in high school, she played soccer and tennis and was involved in swimming and cheerleading. After graduating from high school she studied for a career in journalism at West Georgia University, but later became disillusioned with it, left the field and moved back to New Orleans. She was discovered by Playboy when she was only 20 years old at the World Gym in Houston, Texas. A photographer approached her and took a shot of Marks in her bikini.
One month later, on October 1993, she flew to Los Angeles, California (she met her husband on the flight), did a test shoot for Centerfold and was accepted as a Playmate. She ended up becoming the Playmate of the Month in May 1994. During her stint with Playboy, Marks was a traveling representative for the company, going to ports of call such as Hong Kong and Denmark. After having her initial success as a Playboy model she dramatically increased the size of her breasts.
Later, she entered the acting arena, guest starring on such shows as Married... with Children, Renegade, Viper, and Baywatch.
Marks also had been featured in advertisements for Molson Beer, as well as modeled for Frederickâ??s of Hollywood, Venus Swimwear, and other catalogs.
She has also created two websites (see below): ShaeMarks.com and Shae's Playpen, the former being her personal website; the latter being more of a cluster of other models.
Marks has diminished her role in maintaining a web presence, as she wanted â?? after "endless Hollywood parties" â?? to spend more time with her family and more work in commercials.
