Simon Wells (born 1961) is the great grandson of H.G. Wells. He is best known for directing the 2002 remake of The Time Machine. He also directed An American Tail: Fievel Goes West, Balto, The Prince of Egypt and the film adaptation of We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story. He is currently slated to direct the upcoming Stand by Love.
