Stacy Haiduk Biography

Stacey Haiduk is a native of Grand Rapids, MI. Her quest for show-business successpropelled her to move to New York City at age 17. The daughter of two teachers, Haiduk (pronounced "hi-duke") began studying ballet,tap and jazz at age 4, and traveled the nation with a Broadway- andvaudeville-oriented dance company at 14. After high school, she craved brighter lights and a bigger city than Grand Rapids. In New York she studied with the Joffrey Ballet and attended acting classes. For twoand a half years she paid the rent by dancing in the music videos of such artists asSawyer Brown, Herb Alpert and Laura Branigan, as well as appearing in variouscommercials and in the NBC daytime drama "Another World." Occasionally shemoonlighted as a bartender and a restaurant hostess. At 19, Haiduk landed the role of Lana Lang on the syndicated "Superboy" series(1988-91), which was shot in Orlando, FL. In 199l she moved to Los Angeles,guest-starred on "Parker Lewis Can't Lose" and starred in the Showtime movie "SketchArtist" before stepping into the role of FBI agent-in-training Rhea McPherson onNBC's "The Round Table." In her off-hours, Haiduk enjoys reading poetry, writing, painting and dancing.
