Regarding horror, it was a particularly gruesome year; only one of the top five is rated lower than R. But all have some (if not all) of what horror hounds crave: blood, gore, zombies, a little skin, and political allegory. And, of course, you can't have a decent horror list without some Stephen King adaptations thrown in there, can you?
