Welcome to Rotten Tomatoes’ coverage of the 2006 Toronto International Film Festival. Toronto is probably the most important festival in North America, setting the pace for other fests and providing the first screenings of movies that will factor big – critically and commercially – in the coming year. A number of important films will premiere at Toronto; last year’s lineup included such fare as “Brokeback Mountain,” “Dave Chappelle’s Block Party,” “Pride and Prejudice,” and “Corpse Bride.” During our stay in Canada’s largest city, we’ll be giving you reviews of the most important and memorable films, news updates, and images from the world next door.
