Do you love horror movies where pretty smartly dressed flight attendants are menaced by rampaging zombies? If so, then I can highly recommend PLANE DEAD.

I bought it from an ebay dealer and it is brillliant! Will be released on DVD in the UK around Autumn 2007.

Hi. I'm a new member to this 'Horror Lair' group and i'd just like to say that this was the best looking horror group I could find on Rotten Tomatoes. All the other horror groups were mostly empty or either coloured in an awful bright green that wrecked my eyes as I read. And the members on this particular group are all sound.
The main reason I joined is 'cause I (obviously) love horror films. Recently, i've been trying to collect some Dario Argento films and can't find any. I have 'Suspiria' and 'Terror at the Opera', but thats it. A month ago I found 'Trauma' for really cheap, but my friend who has it, says its not that good. Is he right? I'm desperatly seeking 'Two Evil Eyes', 'Demons', 'Deep Red', 'Tenebre' and 'Bird With A Crytal Plummage'. They're impossible to find. I'm also trying to find an old horror classic called 'Link' (not an Argento film). Does anyone remember it? Its about a large monkey butler who, along with other monkeys, goes completly insane on a killing spree.
Its kind of like that 'Monkey Shines' film.
Recently I saw a horror called 'Infection', not that great in my opinion, only good.

Reading horror books is what i've really gotten into now. Recently read James Herberts 'Haunted' and 'The Fog'. Now reading 'I Am Legend' by Richard Matheson. Thats all from me now and hope that someone on RT reads a couple of my reviews. I'd like to hear some opinions.

Question: Who here likes watching Most Haunted?
Keep in touch.

..... Hey! My name is Marc. I am a big horror movie fan. My journal is full of horror movie reviews. Feel free to check it out.

.....Rob Zombie is now in pre-production of Halloween! WTF is that? The guy can barely wash his own face let alone direct a movie. I've always adored The Halloween Series. Rob Zombie?!?!? He can't even make music let alone write a script for something decent! I think White Zombie had a creative outlet and that his solo work is a bit too politely fabricated or cut and paste together to make a product that isn't entirely art. I like the idea behind it, but I don't know if it always translates well. I thought house of 1,000 corpses was neither scary nor interesting to watch, the Devils Rejects was slightly better, but it too was annoying and boring. I can appreciate Rob's sense of style in the two movies he's made, I'd like to see him actually shine as the guy who designs sets and/or casts people where they kind of fit. I think Rob needs to go to film and art school. He has great ideas but he fails to execute them in a way that can be translated to good art. He imitates the masters of 70's and 80's horror, but lacks the emotion and political workings of the ones he admires. It seems like he wants to be part of the horror genre so bad that he's forgetting that the directors that inspired him did it for many other reasons than fame and fortune. Oliver Stone was going to direct the next Halloween and it was going to give a big back-story to Michael Myers and go further into the characters. Oliver Stone ended up moving to direct World Trade Center. We all know what happened at the World Trade Center! Maybe he's hoping the combined patriotism, tragedy, and guilt people have over the World Trade Center would get him another Oscar nod. Don't get me started with the re-make of Suspiria. Who the F**k needs a remake of an amazing horror movie? Who wants to see one of the greatest works of cinema redone with the cast from American Idol and the OC? Why America? Why are you turning out crap movies and fast food actors! It's all pre-packaged, pre-approved, its crap! Shame on America for tossing away the substance and craving the hollow flash of talent less flesh!

I'm brand new here. I'm new to this group thing too.

Let me start by saying: Horror movies are the greatest movies!

With that said, I'm having a little trouble finding good ones these days as the theatres seem to be filled with schlock that seems to come from some factory where they have bunch of robot monkeys who write horror scripts for them...

Lately I have been checking out a LOT of straight to video movies and have found a few jems.

Among them are:
Dead Birds
Paranoia 1.0
MadHouse

Just to name a few.

Recommendations would be welcome.

Hi everybody,

I have just joined the group as I LOVE horror movies.

I have so many favourite horror films that it is difficult to narrow them down to a particular choice. However, if pushed to select specific titles, I would say that the movies made by Hammer and Amicus are specially memorable. Christoper Lee was undoubtedly the best Dracula ever. And going back even further, I would nominate Karloff as the best actor regarding portrayal of the Frankenstein Monster.

All single movie fans might like to check out my website at:

Kind regards,

My favorite scary movie is The Changeling with George C. Scott as a widower who rents a haunted house. Not very gory (there is some minor gore when a car crash happens) but very scary. The sounds are very creepy. I suggest every good natured horror fan get the crap scared out of them with this movie.
