Thought it was clever humor even though the plot was predictable. Downey does the lines with good timing. He makes you take it a little serious, even though it's a comic. I'm sure we'll see a few sequels. Jeff Bridges played a good bad guy. GP needed some more trendy clothes though. Kind of a letdown.



From the investment standpoint, a search on google shows up a lot of interesting talk, such as the Motley Fool's take:Iron Man is already being compared to Spider-Man in terms of the franchise potential, which means that Marvel could reap $200 million or more in plain profits from this first installment alone.
Good for Downey. I am interested more in the artistic aspect, but the $$ are necessary too or they won't make any more.
