2010 Movie Preview
December 09, 2009
Discuss Article

It may be hard to believe, but a brand new year is already upon us. As we bid farewell to 2009, it's already time to look ahead: what does Hollywood have to offer us in 2010? Well, we at RT have a handy little guide to the most anticipated flicks, the surest box office bets, the movies you'll be looking back on fondly a year from now.

As usual, the forthcoming year's slate leans heavily on sequels and remakes. But that's not a bad thing: such surefire hits as Toy Story 3, Iron Man 2, and the first part of the conclusion to the Harry Potter franchise are all locked and loaded. Getting the reboot treatment are Tron and Nightmare on Elm Street, to name a couple. Plus, the new year promises the latest films from Martin Scorsese, Ridley Scott, and Michel Gondry, among others.

So pop the bubbly, make some resolutions, and get ready to dive into RT's 2010 Movie Preview!

I don't exactly see why "Clash of the Titans" is so hotly anticipated. It looks fun, but c'mon. Liam Neeson has the most hilarious beard ever.

"Iron Man 2" just because I hear Scarlett Johansenn (how ever you spell it) is Black Widow.

YUM!

The Last Airbender is going to be horrible. Honestly, it's as if they've done everything in their power to screw it up.

What are you talking about? There is almost nothing they could have done to make it good! The Last Airbender is a stupid story that only translates in Anime, not into live action.

I'm not quick to judge. I'll wait for reviews to start pouring in. But I liked the series, and I'm hoping the live-action version lives up to it. To each his own.

man 2010 looks really bleak
there's hardly a numerous amount of choices to see

judging from what Ive seen so far: there's going to be nothing to see in the spring except 'Nightmare on Elm St.' and 'Alice in Wonderland'
once again things wont get started til May

here are my top films to see for the rest of 2010:
Iron Man 2, Prince of Persia: the Sands of Time, Eclipse, the Last Airbender, Salt, Toy Story 3, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I, Rapunzel, and Tron: Legacy

to hell with Shrek 4, I shuddered at that trailer
