Release Date: July 30, 2010
When you?ve got a comedy formula that works, you run with it. As such, what probably started as a throwaway joke (?Hey, what if there was some loser named Gaylord Focker??) has now become a Hollywood franchise set to release its third installment, Little Fockers.
Following up on 2004?s Meet the Fockers, Little Fockers aptly takes place five years after Greg (Ben Stiller) and Pam (Teri Polo) have married and had twins, focusing on the couple?s struggles in raising their children. Expect an angry Robert De Niro, a lot of Ben Stiller?s ?uh-oh, I?m in trouble? face, and plenty of pratfalls. Like we said, it worked twice before, so there?s no reason to think it couldn?t work again.
Returning cast members Barbra Streisand and Owen Wilson are joined by the likes of Jessica Alba and Laura Dern, and directing duties have been taken over by Paul Weitz (American Pie, About A Boy). And, unfortunately, rumors so far seem to indicate Dustin Hoffman will not reprise his role as Greg?s father, but the film already has tons of star power.
