Release Date: December 22, 2010
The Green Hornet will either be a colossal mess-up...or something deliriously entertaining. But no matter how the film lands, it'll be by far one of the more bizarre cinematic offerings of 2010.
Seth Rogen as a crimefighter? Michel Gondry as director? What's going on, Hollywood? You've learned how to take risks again? These will be defining moments for the two: Seth Rogen has been expanding into dramatic and dark roles to little success, while audiences have been largely rejecting Gondry's recent efforts (The Science of Sleep and Be Kind Rewind) of scraggly whimsy.
If Gondry can hone his imagination across an enormous budget and if Rogen can maintain a straight face, look for big things from this one.
