I'll be dressing as the same thing I have for the last five years. Blue coveralls and a white altered William Shatner mask. It's perfect. I have literally driven people to tears by doing nothing but stare at them.

I want to go as V from V for Vendetta, just in the hopes that someone will ask who I'm supposed to be and I can give the "V" heavy monologue from the movie. "Are you some kind of crazy person?"...priceless
Evey Hammond: Who are you?
V: Who? Who is but the form following the function of what and what I am is a man in a mask.
Evey Hammond: Well I can see that.
V: Of course you can. I'm not questioning your powers of observation I'm merely remarking upon the paradox of asking a masked man who he is.
Evey Hammond: Oh. Right.
V: But on this most auspicious of nights, permit me then, in lieu of the more commonplace sobriquet, to suggest the character of this dramatis persona.
V: Voilą! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition.
[carves V into poster on wall]
V: The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous.
[giggles]
V: Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.
Evey Hammond: Are you like a crazy person?
V: I am quite sure they will say so. But to whom, might I ask, am I speaking with?

they're missing what's probably going to be the most popular halloween costume of the year. the joker. should be easy, and cheap enough to get done too.

My costume is R.C. McMurphy from One Who Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. All you need is a tobagon, a dark jacket, jeans, and a menacing smile.

I'm going as Travis Bickle from Taxi Driver: green jacket, jeans, boots, mohawk wig, aviator sunglasses, some toy guns and blood all over my neck and clothes. I'm even getting a "We are the people" pin.

frank is a good idea. i think they should've used the brothers from Funny Games instead of the Grady twins from the Shining; it's just been overdone so much.

dude it's Randall Patrick McMurphy, R.P, not R.C, and the title is One Flew, not one Who flew. normally wouldnt be a stickler like this but that movie is one of my top 3 so...

Though I've done Indy a couple times before, I'm gonna go with the costume that's twice won me the top prize at costume contests - Ash from Evil Dead II/Army of Darkness. Chainsaw on the hand, boom-stick in the strapped-on "holster" on the back, plus mussed-up 80's-style hair, torn shirt, brown pants, and boots. Really, it's not that tough to do. Best of all, I've already got the chin for it.
