About The Movie: After underwhelming critics with his serious role in 2007’s The Number 23, Jim Carrey returns to familiar comic fare with Yes Man, yet another book-to-film adaptation based on the autobiographical story by humorist Danny Wallace. Carrey plays Carl Allen, a man who decides to spend a year saying “yes” to everything in an attempt to spice up his life and ultimately change it for the better. Die hard Carrey fans will note the similarity of the plot to a previous effort, Liar Liar, which was both a critical and commercial hit, so it’s safe to assume he’ll be up to his old tricks, with amusing results. Zooey Deschanel, Bradley Cooper, and Sasha Alexander co-star, among others.
