About The Movie: Based on a wildly popular television cartoon series from the mid-1980s, which itself was based on a Hasbro toy born in the 1960s, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra is a new take on the franchise and its first live action adaptation. Dennis Quaid stars as General Hawk, leader of the fictional elite military unit that also includes fan favorites like Duke (Channing Tatum) and Scarlett O'Hara (Rachel Nichols), in an origin story that, true to its title, explores the beginnings of the nefarious Cobra organization. The supporting cast features Christopher Eccleston as Destro, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Cobra Commander, and Marlon Wayans as Ripcord, among others. Yo Joe!
