About The Movie: Yes, Hayden Panettiere is starring as a cheerleader for the umpteenth time, but it's for a (potentially) good cause -- namely, the Chris Columbus-directed adaptation of former Simpsons scribe Larry Doyle's award-winning 2008 novel. Who loves Beth Cooper? Dorky valedictorian Denis Cooverman, who announces his feelings to the entire student body during his speech...and then spends the rest of the night dealing with the fallout from his admission. Featuring ridiculously over the top action and heaping helpings of funny, ribald dialogue, I Love You, Beth Cooper will either keep the spirit of John Hughes alive for another summer, or flame out at the box office trying.
