About The Movie: The latest from writer/director Nora Ephron (Sleepless in Seattle, You've Got Mail), Julie & Julia reunites Meryl Streep and Amy Adams (both Oscar-nominated for Doubt) in a lighter context. The film takes place in two time periods: it tells the story of Julia Child's early days in Paris, and also follows a young woman's attempts to prepare every recipe in Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking -- acquiring a cult following as she blogs about her experience. Based on Julie Powell's bestseller, the movie also features supporting turns from Stanley Tucci and Jane Lynch.
