About The Movie: With Shorts, Robert Rodriguez is back in family-friendly territory after the wild zombie mayhem of Planet Terror (from Grindhouse, his collaboration with Quentin Tarantino). Shorts tells the tale of a young boy whose discovery of a magical rock turns his idyllic suburban town upside down, as the stone's wish-granting powers are coveted - and overused -- by kids and grown-ups alike. William H. Macy, Leslie Mann, and John Cryer star alongside Jimmy Bennett as Shorts' protagonist, the socially awkward Toe Thompson.
