Worst of the Worst
September 23, 2009
Discuss Article
Over the last decade, we've collected reviews for thousands of movies. Most films, even profoundly mediocre ones, can expect to receive at least cursory support from the pundits. However, once in a while, a film will take such a critical drubbing that further attention is warranted. That's where our Worst of the Worst list comes in. We've compiled a veritable cornucopia of dull, foolhardy, and outright terrible films, from legendary duds (Battlefield Earth) to chuckle-deficient comedies (Epic Movie), from hapless sequels (Basic Instinct 2) to scare-free would-be fright fests (Alone in the Dark). We've pored over the reviews to bring you the lowest Tomatometers of the decade -- including several (All About Steve, Whiteout) that were released within the last several weeks. In other words, we suffered for our work -- now it's your turn.

The worst Movie of this year has to be "All About Steve." How Sandra Bullock can not only Produce but star in this Turkey is beyond me. This has got to be one of the most pathetic movies of the year. This is the first movie I have ever been to where the Movie was full of Movie Goers when it started and empty when it finished.

Aw man, I remember liking "The New Guy" when it came out.

"Roll around . . . you'll be all right." That still gets me! And that Top 10! Good Lord, just reading the names was hard to do! I think we all expected "Ballistic: Ecks Vs. Sever", though. They've been playing it on HBO a lot recently, and I can't stop laughing at it!

Jimmy C., do you have an opinion of worst movie? ;-)

How is House of a 1000 Corpses & Fallen (Denzel Washington) not on this list. 2 horrible films. I call for a recount.

How much did the makers of the Fast and Furious franchise pay rotten Tomatoes to not put at least 1 of those godforsaken movies off this list?

I'm utterly suprised that out of all 100 of those movies, I have only seen two of them: Yu Gi Oh and Disaster Movie. I kind of liked Yu Gi Oh (But maybe because my son played the game) but Disaster Movie sucked.

Quite a list.

has anyone seen "Dougal?"

That looks like it might be of the "So bad, it's good" variety.

For those wondering why certain movies aren't on the list, etc., it's yet another RT list made solely from critics responses and the tomatoe meter, although, I don't know what constitutes the Tie-Breaker.

Good list, in that none of them are in the so-bad it's good variety, except maybe, DOUGAL, hence my asking. . .

Bentley - check your decade...Fallen is from '98.

Aniston is certainly fortunate to escape this list. So many of her movies are completely unwatchable *cough* Love Happens *cough*

I actually enjoyed House Of 1000 Corpses. But The Devil's Rejects was much better.
