Aims a little too high to be kid-friendly and far too low to be of interest to many grown-ups.
While "Rat" offers some boisterous fun, in the end it doesn't add up to much more than paean to family values.
Ran a bit long. Was interesting up to a point which I no longer cared.

The Satire and darkly humorous film was so entertaining , I quite forgot there was a Rat involved. The perfomances of all were well thought out , but for me Imelda Staunton's performance was hysterical and believable; as if she does have a rat for a husband. Irish humor again at its best.
