Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey is one of the greatest films of all time and it is the director's most profound and confounding exploration of humanity's relationship to technology, violence, sexuality and social structures.

Awesome. This guy has reviewed both 2001 and Dr. Strangelove.

This must be the kind of movie movie critics have to like or they lose their "ARTISTIC" card. I read in each review how spectacular and profound it is. Yet no one knows what its really about or why any of the things in it happen. That is the height of idiocy. It speaks to my soul. Well my brain would like some dialog or plot or action or anything that doesn't need some ambiguous answer like its simplicity is its complexity. or its unexplained leaves open all possibilities. BS if I wanted to imagine my own movie out of random senseless scenes I would just go to sleep and dream.

Ummm, do you want me to explain to you what it is about, since you're confused? Or would you prefer checking out the Wikipedia page? I can assure you it's not the film's fault you don't understand it.

You don't have the intellect to understand it so you claim no one does. You are pathetic.

Have you ever read the story "The Emperor's New Clothes"? You should look it up some time.
