Superman & Shyamalan to Piggyback Potter
by RT Staff | November 10, 2005

Superhero Hype! has confirmed that the teaser trailer for "Superman Returns" will be attached to WB's "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire," opening in theaters on Friday, November 18. The teaser, which runs one minute and thirty-three seconds, will play with (most) screenings of the fourth "Harry Potter" installment.

"Superman Returns," directed by Bryan Singer, will be released in conventional theaters and IMAX theaters on June 30, 2006. The anticipated action-adventure stars Brandon Routh, Kate Bosworth, Kevin Spacey, James Marsden, Frank Langella, Sam Huntington, Eva Marie Saint, Kal Penn, Parker Posey and Peta Wilson.

Further, ComingSoon.net fills us in on some other trailer trivia. Seems that WB will also be attaching something else to the Potter flick, a trailer for M. Night Shyamalan's "Lady in the Water." "The clip clocks in at a minute and fifty seconds. The latest thriller from Shyamalan opens July 21, 2006 and stars Paul Giamatti, Bryce Dallas Howard, Freddy Rodriguez and Jeffrey Wright."

Thanks to Superhero Hype! and ComingSoon.net for keeping us up to speed on the trailer parade.

This is going to be the first Harry Potter movie that I'll actually bother to see in a theater. Adding Superman and M. Night Shyamalan to the experience is a major bonus!

The Potter film already looks tight, but adding two trailers that I've been waiting for is just awsome.

never been a big Harry Potter fan. i didn't cared enough to read the books, they seemed to "kiddie" for my tastes. and thus, i didn't bother with the movies. as much as i want to see the Superman Retuns trailer (and i'm very eager to see it, i was raised on the other four Superman films), it's probably gonna be available online or shown on Access Hollywood around the same time Goblet of Fire is released in theaters. i like Shyamalan's work too, still think i'm gonna pass on this film. 30 seconds of Superman, 2 minutes of Shyamalan, and 90 minutes of a movie i could care less about ain't worth my $8.00.
