Timberlake to Provide Voice for "Shrek 3"
by Scott Weinberg | May 03, 2005
Discuss Article
According to Variety and a recent publicity event for DreamWorks, former pop idol Justin Timberlake will provide the voice of King Harold's nephew, Artie, in the studio's upcoming "Shrek 3."

Scheduled for release in May of 2007, this third entry in the ogre's ongoing adventures will, of course, feature the return of series regulars Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz and Antonio Banderas.

What's worse: Timberlake in this "Shrek" or the fact that there is a "Shrek 3?"

And let me guess, his character will fall in love with Princess Fiona?

I actually liked the second one better than the first, but this smells like some sort of diva demand from Cameron Diaz: "I'm not signing until you give a part to my boo as well !!" ^_^

Seeing as though Timberlake would find it hard to play dead, what role do they expect him to tackle, a plank of wood maybe? A brick perhaps? Here's the latest career advice: become a so-so singer, do a so-so actress and the world's your oyster!

To one of the people above, he won't fall in love with Fiona (hopefully :O) because he's playing king harold's nephew. which makes them cousins... ew.

I enjoyed Shrek, thought the second was decent but pretty much just a slightly weaker version of the first - after seeing Shark Tale though (thankfully for free) I realized that every Dreamworks CGI movie is EXACTLY THE FREAKIN' SAME. Time to do something new guys, because people don't like paying for the same movie over and over again.

Oh wait, nevermind, they do because most people are stupid and will regularly put generic horror movies and sequels to the top of the charts. So hey, keep doing what you're doing and making the money.

I heard that he will provide voice talent for the character of Shrek's closeted gay cousin...but that's neither here nor there.
