Falling somewhere between a murder mystery and a ghost story, Frozen marries gritty small town realism to haunting irrationality, and leaves it to viewers to navigate their own way through the resulting fog.
It's tempting to call this something like 'Hitchcock for the prozac generation,' except it's not clear that prozac has made it to this part of the frigid north.
